Keezhaperumpallam
Keezhaperumpallam is located at near the thiruvenkadu and this place is dedicated to Lord Kethu, also called as Vanagari. The statue of lord Kethu is depicted as having the head of a snake and body of an asura. The people are believe that the Lord Kethu have worshipped to Lord Shiva here in repentance for his sins. So the Lord kethu statue is depicted as worshiping Lord Shiva with folded hands.
Thirunallaru
One of the very few temples solely dedicated to Lord Shani is thirunallaru and its located at 30 km from the east of mayiladuthurai. The temple is also portmantenu named after king of Nala Maharaja was relieved or healed of the malevolent afflictions caused by the influence of Saturn or Shani to this temple. It is widely accept that a dip in the holy nala theertham will wash away malevolent or bad karma afflictions that shani can cause.
